경제학부 학생들에게 24th Carroll Round Call for application에 대하여 안내드립니다.

As the Applications Chairs for the 24th Carroll Round, we are writing to invite all interested students at Yonsei University to apply to this year’s Carroll Round Undergraduate Economics Research Conference. The Carroll Round is an undergraduate economics conference at Georgetown University, providing a unique forum for the world’s brightest undergraduate economics students to present and discuss their original research in any subdiscipline. At the conference, students will have the opportunity to present their research and receive comments from current professors, economic practitioners, and other participants In addition, all the accepted papers will have the chance to be published in the Carroll Round Proceedings

This year’s conference will be held at Georgetown University from April 10th to April 13th, 2025. Applicants will have the opportunity to interact with each other and hear from high-profile speakers in the world of economics. A full list of our past speakers can be found here.

Currently enrolled undergraduate students may submit their applications to participate in the 24th Carroll Round Conference. The Steering Committee recognizes that applications made at this time may represent works in progress. International applicants who are invited to present at the conference are responsible for obtaining visas and travel documents. Those who cannot physically travel to the U.S. may join our online sessions. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis until 11:59 PM February 22, 2025, for international applicants and 11:59 PM March 15, 2024, for domestic applicants. Decisions will be returned within two weeks of each deadline.

We are committed to making the conference accessible to those who wish to participate. We encourage all applicants whose research demonstrates econometric rigor and original insight to apply. Funds may be available to cover the cost of transportation to Washington for participants who cannot secure funding from their institution. In the past, the Steering Committee has been able to meet the vast majority of participants’ outstanding financial needs.

We kindly ask that you forward this letter to all interested undergraduate students and faculty advisors of research-oriented economics courses. Students can apply here, and more information can be found on our website. Specifically, if students are interested in seeing what prior accepted applications have looked like, they can find some here. We look forward to receiving your application!
